This is a 2-day intensive ultrasound workshop offered to anesthesiologists who have prior experience with ultrasound guided nerve blocks. At the end of this ADVANCED course, participants would have acquired a thorough knowledge of imaging and block techniques of the following nerve structures. They are:
- Saphenous nerve
- Obturator nerve
- Fascia iliaca
- Lateral femoral cutaneous nerve
- Ilioinguinal & iliohypogastric nerves
- Transversus abdominis plane
- Sciatic nerve in the gluteal, subgluteal and proximal thigh regions
- Lumbar neuraxial space (adult)
- Psoas compartment
- Continuous catheter technique
Each presentation will include 25% of the time devoted to questions and answers.
This course has a number of distinguishing features.
Day 1
- Didactic lectures on the above topics
